Brief Biography

Jet Bike is a unique company with a mission. The aircraft industry is currently undergoing a dramatic change; advances in technology are opening up new avenues of discovery. Barely a week goes by without some new product hitting the news. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is struggling to keep legislation up to date with the technological advances and companies are pushing the legislation in directions previously unimaginable. The UAV market has seen many new products and new companies emerging due to advances in electronics and control software. Most personal air transport offerings are based on UAV technology with typically the occupants or bystanders facing significant safety threats from whirling propeller blades. There is typically little regard to safety and most systems would prove fatal to the pilot with a single failure. Jet Bike uses a different approach, the founders have decades of experience in the  Aerospace industry working on safety critical systems and flight qualification, we always put safety first. Multiple redundant systems in propulsion, fuelling and control allow for safe return of the pilot to the ground in case of failure. As a backup against severe multiple failures a whole vehicle recovery system is integrated into the design to bring the pilot and the Jet Bike safely to the ground by parachute.
